“2025 marks my 25th year in publishing and I just celebrated my one year anniversary at One Signal in March. I finally read Olga Tokarczuk’s DRIVE YOUR PLOW OVER THE BONES OF THE DEAD -- my dad is a huge fan (he re-read Thomas Mann’s MAGIC MOUNTAIN to prepare for Olga Tokarczuk’s THE EMPOSIUM ) and then, coincidentally, Maura at Liz’s Book Bar was reshelving a copy just as I was at the cash register. I asked her about it and she said it’s bonkers and she loved it too, so I bought it from her on the spot! If you’re a sucker for unreliable narrators and are secretly a cranky reclusive grandma at heart, this is the book for you.”

“I started at One Signal as an Assistant Editor in 2019. My background is in journalism and I think that comes through in my books, though I also have a passion for history and memoir. Most recently I’ve picked up Vivian Gornick’s bracing FIERCE ATTACHMENTS, which needs no further acclaim but has been lighting my mind on fire with its brilliant and power-packed economy.”
Rola Harb (she/her) | Associate Editor
“I’m the newbie at OSP and only joined the team in September of 2024. I’m currently between three books (do not recommend)—Kaveh Akbar’s MARTYR for an at-home read (it’s hardcover and I refuse to bring it on the train), OUR SHARE OF NIGHT by Mariana Enríquez for my commute, and Jane Austen’s PRIDE AND PREJUDICE (because yay 20 year re-release!).”
Abby Mohr (she/her) | Assistant Editor
“I joined One Signal as an assistant editor in 2022 and feel so lucky to work at a place that feeds my love for all kinds of nonfiction and that platforms progressive writers fighting for a better world as I build my own list. Most recently, on the nonfiction side I've been reading Meghan O'Gieblyn's GOD, HUMAN, ANIMAL, MACHINE which is a both brilliant and a slightly terror-inducing look at the relationships between our human identity, AI, and theology. And on the somewhat lighter fiction side, I've been enjoying Emily Henry's newest, GREAT BIG BEAUTIFUL LIFE on audio on my post-work walks.”
